About Julia

"Hi I'm Julia and I live in Upstate NY which is where I met Austin, the founder of Miles for MSA and the Urban family. I am normally an event manager for tech companies but am currently on a traveling career break and I'm excited to clock my 100 running miles this year from different countries all over the world!

I have loved to participate in each Miles for MSA since its inception because I really want to help raise awareness of this rare disease and secure funds to help medical professionals easily diagnose, treat, and, one day, cure it. Also, the Urban family have such a strong sense of community as do I and I couldn't help getting swept up in this MSA Coalition community they are building."

About Dan

Dan is from the quaint town of Pawling, NY, nestled in Dutchess County. His adventurous spirit finds him splitting time between Vermont and upstate NY, with frequent visits to NYC.

Dan works in sales for a marketing agency, as well as investments in the Airbnb & hospitality industry with Austin. Dan and Austin purchased the Bromley View Inn in Bondville VT together back in 2021 and have been running it ever since.

2024 is Dan's third year running Miles for MSA, a cause close to his heart. Dedicated to supporting Jon Urban, his family, and all those impacted by MSA, Dan sees running as a powerful tool for raising awareness and vital funds to combat the disease. While completing his 100 miles, Dan plans to visit multiple states to run in unique areas alongside friends around the country.

About Anthony

"My name is Anthony Kinane, originally from Hudson, NY. Currently, I call Quincy, MA, just outside of Boston, my home, where I proudly serve the Commonwealth as a Massachusetts State Trooper.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Austin for quite some time now, and I'm thrilled to say that this will mark my fourth year participating in Miles for MSA. Being able to lend support to individuals and families from my hometown while simultaneously raising awareness to assist others is a privilege I deeply cherish.

Running has always been my go-to for both mental escape and personal challenge. As I prepare to conquer 100 miles right here in Massachusetts, I'm eager to contribute to the cause and shed light on those battling this disease."

About Kristi

"Hi I'm Kristi! I’m from the charming hamlet of Latham, NY. Since I was born, I've had the privilege of knowing and being close to the Urban family. Their journey with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) has deeply inspired me and fueled my commitment to raising awareness and funds for this important cause. Be in a room with Jon for just ten minutes and you’ll understand why the 4U Foundation has been so successful over the past few years. His energy and love of life are inspiring and infectious.

I'm thrilled to be participating in this year's MSA fundraising event for the second year in a row. Joining the MSA team has brought running back into my life in a beautiful way, and combining it with a cause as important as this makes every step even more meaningful. Outside of running, I enjoy strength training, reading, playing cards, traveling and teaching.

I'd love for you to join us in this important cause! Whether you can donate or just help spread the word, every bit counts. Your support makes a huge difference for the 4U Foundation and everyone affected by MSA. Thank you for being part of this amazing journey with me!."

About Arica

My name is Arica Cooper, and I serve as the president of Arica’s Insurance Agency in Hudson, NY. I am also a proud mother of a 22-year-old daughter. In my free time, I am deeply committed to philanthropy and enjoy volunteering with several organizations.

In 2021, I attended the Miles for MSA Final Mile event with the Urban Family, which unexpectedly inspired me to start running. Hearing about the challenges Jon faced with his illness motivated me to take action and move my body. Despite not being active for several years, I surprised myself by completing the mile without stopping. Since that transformative day, running and biking have become integral to my lifestyle, I even participated in the NYC Marathon in 2022. This event has given me the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while also prioritizing my own health and wellness.

I want to express my gratitude to Austin and the Urban family for their dedication to making a positive impact in my life and the lives of others. Thank you!
